Welcome to McAuley College, Beaudesert
Blessed be the boots that carry us to action for Mercy's sake in our world.
Thank you for your interest in McAuley College. Located in Beaudesert, on Southeast Queensland's Scenic Rim, we are in the centre of this vibrant region, providing quality, inclusive education for this district. In 2027, we will celebrate our first 10 years as a college and as an established school, we offer a wide range of subjects and pathway options to cater for the diverse needs of students in this region. As a school in the Mercy Tradition, we partner with the communities of St Mary's Primary School in Beaudesert, All Saints' Primary School in Boonah, and the Parish of St Mary's in Beaudesert to create a seamless Primary to Year 12 transition for students in those communities. Beyond that, as a truly inclusive community, we welcome students from all Scenic Rim's regional primary schools and from all religious and cultural backgrounds. Supported by our amazing staff, we pride ourselves on ensuring that students are Known, Supported and Challenged throughout their entire schooling journey, and we genuinely believe that all students can improve, with our holistic approach to inclusive education reinforcing this underlying belief.
At McAuley College, we pride ourselves on our approach to the Pastoral Care of our students with a focus on personal development, positive education, religious education and resilience education to support our diverse learners as well-rounded young people ready to face the challenges they will encounter beyond school. Academically, we offer a range of pathway options for learners, to rival any city school, with a focus on skills development in the Middle Phase of Learning and a focus on post school pathways in the Senior Phase of Learning. In our Senior Phase of Learning, we support learners as individuals with over 30 subject options as part of their timetabled learning, most of those offered on-site at the College, supported by partnerships with other learning organisations, including FisherOne, BCE's online learning school, as needed. Beyond the subjects and courses offered on-site, we support a number of other vocational options through the TAFE in Schools Program, School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships, partnering with local businesses right across the Scenic Rim. Our graduates take up a range of post school options from vocational and work pathways to competitive university courses and many others.
Having opened in 2017, we are now a fully established Secondary School for the young people of the Scenic Rim. We continue to grow as a college and our future building plans intentionally target the needs of our students, families, and the wider community.
With our focus on the whole student, we offer a comprehensive Sport and Culture program to cater for the varied interests and capabilities of our students. Being a part of the SECA Interschool Program, we focus on student participation in a range of sporting and cultural activities. Beyond that, our students compete in a number of district and other competitions and for those competing at a higher level, we support elite athletes through individualised programs that support their unique needs.
With our three key touchstones of Believe, Learn and Serve, guiding our approach to supporting staff, students, families and the community, we are active in the wider Beaudesert community, supporting a number of Council, Chamber of Commerce and community group initiatives across Beaudesert and the Scenic Rim.
I would love the opportunity to show you McAuley College firsthand so I invite you to book in a tour anytime. While we will happily tell you about our school, the programs and opportunities we have on offer, it is the chance to walk around the school, visit classrooms and meet our engaged students and staff, that gives you a true sense of this amazing place.
