McAuley College is seeking a qualified and experienced Technologies - Food Specialisation and Hospitality Teacher to commence in January 2021.Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic School is a distinct advantage. Experience teaching across other Key Learning Areas, as well as implementing new QCAA Senior subjects as the College expands to include Year 11 for the first time in 2021, is preferred.To be successful in this role you will be able to meet the following criteria: appropriate qualifications and experience, effective communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents, an ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices, and a clear understanding of the new Australian Curriculum.Teachers should have a capacity to integrate technology as a tool to enhance student learning and embed whole school literacy and numeracy expected and effective teaching strategies.The completion of several mandatory on-line courses will be expected prior to commencing in January 2021 related to Student Protection, Code of Conduct, and other related areas of compliance.Successful applicants will be required to attend a one-day Formation Program on Friday 13 November at McAuley College Beaudesert.
